Survey results

Hello everybody,

Here are the results for the survey you answered the first class.          Take a look!

1- I’m taking this course in order to…

…improve my English skills.   80%

…be able to take an international exam.   20%

2- The best way to learn a foreign language is by …

…practicing every class.   30%

…communicating with native speakers.  30%

…living or traveling to an English speaking country.  30%

…watching movies and reading books.  10%

3- The best thing about learning English is that…

…since it is an international language, you can communicate with people all over the world.                                              70%

…you can read books and understand songs.    20%

…you can make new friends.   10%

4- If I were the teacher…

…I’d give dynamic classes.   50%

other   30%

didn’t answer   10%

5- Something I don’t like about English classes is…

…homework.   30%

other   60%

didn’t answer   10%

6- This year I’d like to…

…have more oral practice, improve pronunciation.  60%

other   40%

As you can see, there are some striking coincidences such as recognizing the importance of using English as a means of international communication, the wish to have dynamic classes and to have more oral practice.

The good news is that these are some of the main objectives for this course and we will be able to reach them together, if we work hard and if you are willing to participate actively in class.

The bad news is you’ll have to do some homework anyway, since it will give you the chance to reflect on what we learn in class and therefore realize if you really understand  or need to practice more.

What about the new students who joined us yesterday? Do you agree with the results? Would you like to add new ideas? Please, submit your comments. I look forward to receiving your answers.

See you next class.

Carla
